Serving our communities has always been at the heart of our brand. The Shark’s Foundation was officially established in 2020 as magic happens when people come together and the greater good becomes the focus. Through our CSI programmes we aim to stimulate sustainable change and make a meaningful difference in our communities. The pillars we are currently focussing on are:
The Sharks being a proudly KZN brand and for whom community is the cornerstone for everything that we do, set-up the Hands of Hope campaign in response to the devastation in our province following the floods and riots in 2021. Hands of Hope aims to help uplift affected communities and provide relief when devastation hits our province.
Since the inception of Hands of Hope, we have not only offered relief assistance but brought the communities closer together drawing on the power of Ubuntu as many hands came together to make a massive impact throughout KZN.
From November 25th to December 10th, we will be participating in “16 Days of Activism” to take a stand against the global crisis that is Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through our campaign “Tackling Gender-Based Violence”.
For every tackle the Hollywoodbets Sharks make over the three games during this period, money will be raised through a ‘tackle pledge’ and donated to a Non-Profit organization that assists women and children who have been victims of Gender-Based Violence.
