Grant Williams

Grant Williams delivered a sensational solo performance in the away loss to Ulster in Belfast, to very nearly snatch victory from the jaws of defeat for the Cell C Sharks.

Williams not only ran almost the length of the field for a sensational try of his own, but also carved the Ulster defence wide open to create one for Marius Louw too.

Having arrived in Durban from the Cape, where he was educated at the famous Paarl Gymnasium, in 2017, Williams represented College Rovers in club rugby, and just the following year found himself thrust into the Super Rugby cauldron, when he was required to replace the injured Louis Schreuder for the Cell C Sharks in a game against the Lions.
