Like his father, former WP flyhalf Anton Chait, 24-year-old Jordan Chait was educated at SACS, and he steered the Cape Town school, also from flyhalf, to a famous 13-10 victory over the powerful Afrikaanse Hoër Seunsskool at the annual Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival six years ago.
He subsequently turned in a star performance for Maties when they clinched the 2019 Varsity Cup title with a comprehensive 34-12 win against Tuks in the final.
It was Chait’s prominent playmaking prowess that saw him succeed Chris Smit as Maties’ standoff, and eventually also led to him being signed by the Cell C Sharks last year.
