Thomas du Toit

Thomas du Toit, aka ‘The Tank’, has established himself as the cornerstone of the Cell C Sharks’ pack over the past eight seasons, and should probably have earned more than just 14 test caps for South Africa to date.

Equally at home on both sides of the scrum, Du Toit’s last international outing in the green and gold was in July 2022, when he turned out at loosehead prop against Wales.

The 27-year-old powerhouse no doubt still has plenty left in the ‘tank’, pardon the pun, and continues to serve as a massive inspiration for the boys in black – with his combo of forceful scrummaging, dynamic drives and, indeed, leadership.
