Already hailed as a future Springbok skipper, George Cronjé spearheaded a memo-rable Grey College XV en route to captaining the Junior Boks at the end of the pre-vious decade. Following a short stint in France with Clermont-Ferrand, Cronjé made his Chee-tahs debut in 2020, at only 19 years of age, but a serious knee injury put paid to most of his 2021 season. Cronjé returned to action during last year’s Currie Cup and formed part of the Bloemfontein outfit that claimed their sixth domestic title in 2023. He has now joined forces with the Hollywoodbets Sharks and is raring to take his career to even greater heights.
