Born in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in Johannesburg, Emmanuel Tshituka attended Northcliff High School, the same school that produced his older brother, Springbok loose forward Vincent Tshituka. He came through the Lions' junior structures in Johannesburg, developing into a tall, athletic loose forward with a huge engine.
Tshituka made his senior Lions debut in Round 1 of the 2021 Rainbow Cup against the Bulls and became a regular in the union's URC and Currie Cup campaigns. In February 2024 the Sharks announced his signing, reuniting him with Vincent in Durban, and the brothers ran out together in the opening round of the 2024/25 URC against Connacht - Emmanuel's Sharks debut. He has since featured for the Sharks in the URC and EPCR competitions.
With his lineout ability, work-rate and famous family pedigree, Tshituka enters 2026/27 aiming to make the Sharks back row his own - and to follow his brother into green and gold.
