Durban, 26 October 2026: After the bonus-point 36–21 victory over Cardiff Rugby in Friday night’s Vodacom United Rugby Championship fixture, the Hollywoodbets Sharks can confirm that three out of the four players who picked up injuries and were forced to leave the field during the match, will return to South Africa.
Andre Esterhuizen sustained a right ankle injury, Phatu Ganyane an injury to his right elbow, and Jurenzo Julius a right hamstring injury.
All three players will undergo scans and consult with specialists on their return home to determine the severity of their injuries.
The Sharks wish Andre, Phatu and Jurenzo a speedy recovery.
The squad has been bolstered by three replacements, Cameron Dawson, Litelihle Bester and Suleiman Hartzenberg, who joined the team on Sunday.
The Hollywoodbets Sharks will look to finish the tour on a strong note when they face Munster in their final match of the tour on Saturday, before teams break for the Nations Cup fixtures in November.
