A flyer from the West Coast fishing town of Velddrif, Donovan Don announced himself on the national stage as a Junior Springbok, starting on the wing and at fullback for the South Africa Under-20 side that swept to the U20 Summer Series title in 2022, beating England, Ireland, France and Wales along the way.
Don built his senior game with the Boland Cavaliers, where his pace and finishing lit up the Currie Cup, before graduating to the Springbok Sevens. He became a try-scoring regular for the Blitzboks on the World Rugby Sevens Series, featuring at tournaments from Dubai to Hong Kong, and joins the Sharks ahead of the 2026/27 season, where he will target a URC debut in black and white.
