Ceano Everson built his reputation as a sniping, quick-thinking scrumhalf at Hoerskool Monument in Krugersdorp, where his darting breaks made him a standout of the Premier Interschools circuit. His form carried him into the national age-grade pathway and ultimately the Junior Springbok squad.
In 2025 Everson featured for South Africa U20 in the U20 Rugby Championship before playing his part in the Junior Boks' triumphant World Rugby U20 Championship campaign in Italy, scoring twice against Scotland and appearing in the final win over New Zealand. Named in the Sharks' 2025 Currie Cup squad, he made his senior European debut off the bench against Sale Sharks in the Champions Cup in January 2026, adding a Challenge Cup outing against Connacht in April.
A world champion at U20 level with genuine tempo and game sense, Everson enters the 2026/27 Currie Cup campaign as one of the most exciting halfback prospects in the Sharks system.
