Tinotenda Blithe Mavesere attended Churchill School in Harare before moving to South Africa, where his barnstorming Varsity Cup performances for the University of the Western Cape caught the Sharks' attention. He made his Zimbabwe debut in 2019, playing all six matches of the Sables' victorious Victoria Cup campaign and scoring a try in the final.
Signed by the Sharks in 2021, a knee ligament injury delayed his arrival, and he finally debuted in the 2023 Currie Cup Premier Division, making six appearances with a try, before becoming part of the Sharks' URC squad from 2023/24. He started at blindside flank in the Sharks' 2025 Currie Cup campaign, drawing praise as one of Durban's standout imports.
Internationally, Mavesere started the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup final as Zimbabwe beat Namibia 30-28 - back-to-back continental titles that sealed the Sables' qualification for Rugby World Cup 2027, their first since 1991. He remains a cornerstone of both squads.
