Luan Olivier joined the Hollywoodbets Sharks U19 squad in 2025 after featuring at the 2024 U18 Craven Week.
The young flank has wasted no time announcing himself at the next level. Barely a season into his Sharks Academy journey, he was handed a first senior start, running out in the No 6 jersey for the Sharks XV against the Stormers XXIII in Cape Town in Round 3 of the 2026 Currie Cup - a baptism in a fiercely contested derby that went down to the wire.
Having leapfrogged directly from the U19 ranks into Currie Cup rugby, Olivier heads into the 2026/27 season with senior experience already behind him and every opportunity to make the Sharks XV loose trio his own.
