Bio

Thomas du Toit captained Paarl Boys' High in 2013 and was selected for the SA Schools side that same year, marking him early as a front-rower of rare pedigree. He represented the Junior Springboks at the 2014 World Rugby U20 Championship and again in 2015, before Durban became home.

"The Tank" made his Sharks senior debut in 2014 and became a cornerstone of the pack across Super Rugby, the Currie Cup and the URC, earning his Springbok debut in 2018. In 2022 he joined Bath, where he was twice named in the Premiership Team of the Year and helped the club to the 2025 EPCR Challenge Cup and Premiership double. He returns to Kings Park for the 2026/27 URC season.

A Rugby World Cup winner with the Springboks in 2023, and rare in his ability to scrum on both sides, Du Toit comes home rated by many as the best prop in the English game - a marquee signing to anchor the Sharks scrum.
