Suleiman Hartzenberg's rugby journey began at Bishops Diocesan College in Cape Town, before he made his mark in the Varsity Cup at outside centre for UCT. The younger brother of Munier and Yaya Hartzenberg, he starred for the Junior Springboks in 2022, earning a place in the team of the tournament as South Africa won the U20 Summer Series in Italy.
Hartzenberg made his Stormers debut at just 19, lining up at outside centre against Connacht in Stellenbosch in the opening round of the 2022/23 URC, and toured with SA A later that year, facing Bristol Bears and Munster. Invited to the first Springbok alignment camp of 2024, he went on to make more than 50 appearances for the Cape side.
Hartzenberg joined the Hollywoodbets Sharks on loan in August 2026 through to June 2027, adding pace and the ability to cover wing and outside centre. Coach JP Pietersen said he "slotted in seamlessly like he's one of us", and he was named on the wing for the Sharks' URC opener against the Ospreys at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in September 2026.
