The SA Rugby age group competitions kick back into action this weekend with the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 19s and 21s hosting their DHL Western Province counterparts at Hollywoodbets Kings Park on Friday.
The SA Rugby Under 19 Cup starts this weekend, pitting the two coastal teams against each other with inside centre Luan Olivier captaining the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 19s, while the Vodacom Bulls and Leopards clash, along with 2024 champions the Fidelity ADT Lions and Toyota Free State in the other first round matches.
Meanwhile the second half of the SA Rugby Under 21 Cup commences after a three-month break, with the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 21s riding high in second place on the overall log after the completion of the first round.
This weekend sees the Durban side, led by hooker Andrew Davis, in a top of the table clash with DHL Western Province at Hollywoodbets Kings Park, with both sides having won four of their five matches to date.
When the teams met in May in Round One in Cape Town, it was the home side who emerged victorious, narrowly defeating the Durbanites 43-31, and what better way for the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 21s to reverse that when they host DHL Western Province on Friday, having overcome the Leopards 80-38 in their previous match, also in Durban.
The Under 19 match kicks off at 11am with the Under 21s following at 1pm.
