Justin Basson

Hailing from the Cape Province, where he attended the famous Hoër Landbouskool Boland in Paarl, Justin Basson joins the Cell C Sharks from Atlanta, Georgia, where he represented Rugby ATL this year in USA Major League Rugby.

A rangy second-row forward, Basson represented the Blue Bulls at age-group level, before transferring to Bloemfontein in 2014, where he turned out for the Cheetahs’ senior outfit in 2017 and 2019.

In 2021, he also had a stint with WP and the Stormers, before heading to the States earlier this year.
